Children eat with their eyes. All of our food is rich in colour, nutrition and is visually attractive. We use seasonal fresh produce to expose our children to a wide variety of tastes, textures and food experiences.
We host a variety of events throughout the year. A violin concert performed by one of our talented parents musically captivated our children. Our children love live performances.
Indoor and outdoor gaming fun. Enhancing our learning through FUN, PLAY, and GAMES.
Developmentally appropriate lesson plans with exciting new themes for each week. Our Play-Based curriculum taps into the eight core developmental areas of each child. Ensuring that we excite through PLAY on a daily basis. A typical day at Little 5 makes sure to touch on all of the below:
Literacy – “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you will go.”- Dr Seuss. Reading is a lifelong lesson. It encourages our children to be creative and ponder all the places they will go! At Little 5 we make sure to read to our children every day. A minimum of twice day.
Songs and Movement – “I will teach music here or there, I will teach music everywhere.”- Dr Seuss. Incorporating music and dance makes our teaching come alive. Making education exciting and fun.
Numeracy, emotional, fine motor and problem-solving skills – we have a wide variety of toys, games and puzzles to tap into the above essential skills. Stimulating maths, writing, spelling and critical thinking skills through PLAY.
Creative Work – “Oh, the thinks you can think!”- Dr Seuss. Creative art is a key focus of our curriculum and encourages our children to let their imaginations soar. Our children create art on a daily basis, allowing their creative juices to flow through PLAY.
